Sabres Look for Edge Against Hackers - 11/2/1999 1:00:50 PM

Entering their most important game of the year (Thursday night versus the LAN Hackers), the Lite-Sabres are on their biggest roll of the year. The Sabres are on a two-game win streak, outscoring their opponents 31-16 in that stretch. Leading the way for the Sabres has been rookie sensation and ADC leading goal scorer Steve Chaisson. Chaisson and forward Chris McMaster have combined for 22 goals and 32 points in the Sabres' last two games.

The Sabres gave the Hackers their biggest scare so far this year in the teams' first meeting. The Sabres were actually winning the game 7-6 entering the third period before finally succumbing 10-8. Notably, the Sabres were without Chaisson and his 5+ goals per game.

All Sabres are healthy entering Thursday's game which may give the Sabres the edge they need.
